About Mīria Fragrances

Mīria Fragrances is a Māori-owned perfume house, designed in Aotearoa and crafted in France.
Born from a childhood love of scent, our fragrances are created with intention, story, and emotion — made to become part of who you are.

This brand began long before it had a name.

I was 11 when I first became obsessed with scent. I’d quietly reach for my mum’s perfumes whenever I had the chance, saving every spritz for moments that felt special. Every birthday, I asked for fragrance — and as I got older, I saved up to collect bottles one by one. Not just to wear, but to study. I was fascinated by how a single scent could make you feel powerful, nostalgic, romantic… or completely unforgettable.

For years, the idea of creating my own fragrance brand felt like a distant dream — something I loved too much to imagine as real. But two years ago, I decided to take a chance and step into the world I’d admired for so long. What started as a childhood obsession slowly grew into a passion-driven business, built on curiosity, storytelling, and the belief that fragrance should feel deeply personal.

Today, every fragrance begins at home — here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. As a Māori-owned brand, my identity shapes how and why I create. I’m intentional with every detail because I want each perfume to hold meaning, not just smell beautiful. Our scents are crafted to feel like part of your life — something you connect with, not just wear.

From there, these stories travel across the world to be formulated by renowned perfumers and crafted in France, where expertise meets the dream I’ve carried since I was 11. It still amazes me — ideas born here in Aotearoa becoming luxurious fragrances shaped by some of the best in modern perfumery. Every bottle carries both worlds: international craftsmanship and a uniquely New Zealand story.

Mīria Fragrances is the result of a dream becoming reality — a collection inspired by emotion, memory, character, and connection. Our fragrances aren’t made to blend in. They’re made to become part of who you are… just as fragrance became part of me.

Aroha nui,
Mīria
